I’ve gone years without wearing much beyond the occasional mascara. That’s been changing lately as I’ve rediscovered the whole makeup thing. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older. Ok, it’s definitely the getting older thing. Looking at you, age spots.
Lately I’ve been on a mission to find the best vegan and cruelty-free products out there. In no particular order, here’s a list of 10 brands I’ve either tried or plan to try.
Thrive Causemetics
Not only is Thrive Causemetics 100% vegan and cruelty-free, but for every product purchased, a donation goes to help and empower other women. My favorites are the Defying Gravity Transforming Moisturizer and Buildable Blur CC Cream. You can also build your own value set!
e.l.f.
e.l.f. (eyes lips face) is by far the most affordable on this list. They too give back to organizations that are making a difference in the world. e.l.f. can be easily found in most drug stores and retailers such as Target. Among my favorites are the No Budge Eyeshadow Stick and Bite Sized Eyeshadow Mini Palettes.
Milk Makeup
While I haven’t tried any of their products yet, 100% vegan and cruelty-free brand Milk Makeup is definitely on my short list of brands to check out. I also appreciate their commitment to making everyone feel welcome, safe, seen, and valued.
Another brand on my radar is ĀTHR Beauty, a 100% vegan and cruelty-free company I’d love to try. Their mascara is on my shopping list for sure. I love their commitment to sustainability, ethical sourcing, and creating clean beauty products that are better for people, animals, and the planet.
Well People
Well People is another 100% vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand that stands out for its plant-powered approach. Their focus on clean, high-performance products and sustainability makes them an easy brand to feel good about supporting. Their Power Palette Eyeshadow in Violet is right up my alley.
Lethal Cosmetics
Lethal Cosmetics is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand from Germany where you can build your own eyeshadow palettes. Lethal Cosmetics’ ethics are founded in being animal-friendly, people-friendly, and planet-friendly.
Lime Crime
I’ve been using Lime Crime’s Unicorn Full Coverage Semi-Permanent Hair Color for several years now. The chocolate cherry is subtle on my dark hair, but it’s a fun way to cover up the gray that’s been coming in more and more lately. It also smells so good and leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft. One of these days, I’ll try their eyeshadow palettes. I have a special place in my heart for eyeshadow, if you haven’t noticed.
Pacifica
Pacifica is another 100% vegan and cruelty-free brand I’ve been using for years. Their Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Mascara is my all-time favorite. From makeup to skincare to bath and body, Pacifica has something for everyone.
Truly
Truly offers all kinds of vegan beauty products for the skin, bath, and body. My favorite is the Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter. It has a sweet fragrance and makes my skin feel soft and smooth.
There you have it. 10 beauty brands that are all vegan and cruelty-free, many with solid ethics that makes choosing their products a no-brainer.
Looking for more? Cruelty-Free Kitty and Logical Harmony are both worth checking out!
